Salt & Light Retreat for Adults started in 1978 and ran for 20 years. It was started in 1978 as a retreat or reunion for the young adults who were married or too old to attend Pitch n Praise which started in 1975. The couples who started it were Denis & Linda Bell, Jerry & Dianne Lewis and Elaine & John Quanz. They provided leadership for the first ten years. Ruth & Lee Dittmer from New Dundee were very involved too and were part of the leadership for the subsequent years.
Salt & Light drew adults of all ages from the Missionary Churches across southern Ontario. The Retreat was held at Stayner Camp Grounds in the later held of September. Speakers included Dr. Tom Dow, Dr. Frank Peters and Jim Clubine.
