          When you install updates on a phone or computer, you have to pause, and restart the device for the updates to take effect. That is what REBOOT is all about: pausing for a weekend to upgrade and reboot your faith, as you journey into a new school year. REBOOT: a Retreat for Jr. High Students, is a high energy kickoff to the school year featuring dynamic teaching, music, games, sport tournaments, activities and events, all geared toward Jr. High students!

        An event for Junior High students (grades 6-8) called Reboot started in September 2023. It is a Retreat for JR High Students, a high energy kickoff to the school year featuring dynamic teaching, music, games, sport tournaments, activities and events, all geared toward JR High students! It takes place annually near the end of September at Stayner Bible Conference Grounds.

       REBOOT is designed to support students and youth groups by acting as a high-energy kick-off to churches’ JR High ministry year, inspiring and creating opportunities for faith and character-building in JR High students, creating opportunities for relationship building within each group encouraging and supporting youth pastors and leaders in their ministry.

       REBOOT is planned and organized by a team of volunteers including. Aaron Balzer is very involved in the leadership. Others are Jordan Balzer, Jill Zettler, Shayne Brown, Aaron White, Abe & Rileigh Martin, Rebecca Pinnell, Ryan & Emily Wark, as well as Camp Directors Kyle Moore (Stayner) and Janette & Steve Balzer (Mishewah). A previous event for students (grades 6-8) called JR Pitch ended in 2018. It was operated under the EMCC (Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada). Reboot is operated under the ECM (Evergreen Camping Ministries).
